Access & Opportunity

We’re committed to lifting everyone up.

At Advocate Health, access and opportunity are built into how we care, how we work, and how we grow. We believe everyone deserves the chance to thrive – patients, communities and teammates alike.

By removing barriers and creating environments where people belong, we strengthen our teams, spark innovation and live our purpose of redefining care for all.

Improving access to care and community health

Breaking down barriers

Access to care isn’t one‑size‑fits‑all. That’s why Advocate Health invests in bold, innovative solutions that meet people where they are.

  • We launched the nation’s largest hospital‑based prescription drone delivery network, helping patients receive medications faster and more reliably.
  • To address pharmacy deserts on Chicago’s South Side, we introduced prescription vending machines that dispense medications for common and chronic conditions and connect patients with virtual pharmacists – bringing trusted care directly into the community.
  • We’re improving access to healthcare in rural areas by working with partners to invest in rural communities, train the next generation of healthcare workers and support local, community-driven solutions.

These innovations help close gaps in care while creating new ways for teammates to lead change.

Expanding community care

Advocate Health is making long‑term, place‑based investments to expand access and improve outcomes.

  • A historic $1 billion investment on Chicago’s South Side is expanding care through a new hospital, enhanced outpatient services and neighborhood care clinics located in trusted community spaces. This work addresses the largest life‑expectancy gap in the nation – nearly 30 years between Chicago’s North and South Sides. The new hospital is scheduled to break ground in 2026.
  • In Milwaukee, we are building The Beacon, a comprehensive health and wellness hub designed in partnership with the community and opening in 2026.
  • Through our Center for Business Acceleration, we invest in economic mobility and community wellbeing – supporting local businesses, expanding workforce opportunities and strengthening the long-term health of the communities we serve.

“At Advocate Health, we strive to build meaningful partnerships … to ensure everyone has a seat at the table.”
